The General Register Office is where you can apply for copies of Birth, Marriage & Death Certificates. The cost per application is £7 for a full certified copy of a Certificate. If you do not know the date of birth/marriage or death, the General Register Office can undertake a 5 year search at a cost of £3 per application. Holds records for all counties in Ireland., including census returns for 1901 & 1911 and manuscript field books of the first valuation of Armagh c. 1830 and all other counties of Northern Ireland (except for Tyrone). Also holds Education records including School Records and payments of Teachers from pre 1855. After 1855 education records for Northern Ireland were deposited at PRONI.
