The General Register Office is where you can apply for copies of Birth, Marriage & Death Certificates. The cost per application is £7 for a full certified copy of a Certificate. If you do not know the date of birth/marriage or death, the General Register Office can undertake a 5 year search at a cost of £3 per application.
