(Castlederg Database ONLY)

The Castlederg Database contains details of all of the Residents of Castlederg who were reported in the Local Press from 1906-1928. As a Full Member, the Castlederg Search Results will provide you with the name(s) which correspond to your request, together with a specific townland (if reported, otherwise it will appear as “Castlederg”), and the year in which the Article was reported.

If you require further information on a Castlederg Search Result, the Detailed Search Service will provide you with the following additional information to enable you to locate the Article you are interested in, with the minimum of fuss:

Name of the Newspaper where the Article was reported;
Issue Date of the Newspaper; and
A brief synopsis of the Article.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING ABOUT THIS FACILITY:

  • Page numbers are available by special request. Please E-mail us quoting the Name of the Newspaper, Date of Article & Title. Please allow 10 working days as we try to accomodate you request. We are in the process of up-loading page numbers to this Site, but, as with everything in life, this takes time !

  • The Detailed Request Service does NOT provide photocopies of the Articles in question, but enables you to locate the Article(s) very easily at any Library which holds copies of old Irish Newspapers. Please see the list of Libraries below for further information.

  • The Detailed Request Service is only available to PREMIUM MEMBERS . If you are a Full Member and would like to take advantage of this Service, you can upgrade your Membership for an additional £20.00.
